Keeping it Simple

As the air begins to cool and the leaves begin to fall I am excited for all the upcoming Holidays to come. Every store I go into my kids excitedly point at all the Holiday decor that is starting to appear. This year I resolve myself not to over complicate these Holidays and make them miserable. You know what I mean, our desire to achieve pintrest worthy occasions. But to instead focus on whats truly important, time shared with loved ones and them feeling special not apart of a list of "traditional have tos" created by a long gone relative. I am going to keep things simple and focus on making sure my family knows how much I care about them. Its truly all about the small things like special spooky Halloween cereal for breakfast, or some fresh flowers on the table at dinner cut from whats left of the fall beauty outside. I find that I have a hard time remembering those little things when I am too distracted by doing too much. I hear all the time from others onlooking into my world of so many little ones " How are you doing that?" "I could not handle all that." Its the advantage I received by being blessed with five young children. I can not do it all anymore so I just don't and life is so much more enjoyable because of it. So as your beginning to plan for all the fun that lay ahead remember its fine to take those facebook and instagram photos but just keep in your mind simple is far more fun and enjoyable than complicated and perfect.
